Working in the SEO industry is all well and good, but it can really put you off using a computer in your free time. But this should come as no great surprise to you, surely? After all, would you feel like doing much internet surfing after spending fifty or more hours a week slogging your guts out the Net??? No, I thought as much.

So, online shopping? Social networking? Music downloads? Nope, not for me. I’ll stick to the real world when I have a day off!!!

I am not in the habit of discussing my innermost feelings in public places (especially when I should be getting on with my SEO work), but today is an exception. You see, I know that everyone else knows that I know nothing when it comes to finding myself a girlfriend (I hope that makes some kind of sense!). But what no-one knows is that I actually know why (wow, this is all getting more complicated by the second!). Let me put it another way; I may be rubbish at chatting up members of the opposite sex, but at least I understand why I am rubbish at it! And that has to be a bonus (I think).

There are actually several reasons for my awkwardness with the ladies and today I have decided to share these on my blog. Now, you may think this is a bit excessive, but I want everyone to know that I have far more intelligence than I am actually given credit for. So prepare yourselves folks… here goes -

My Inability to ‘Read' People

When it comes to conversations, I have absolutely no idea at all. Sure, I can understand things on a surface level, but I am useless at recognising any of those underlying meanings.

Unless a girl comes straight out with something then I will miss my cue altogether. And because most females will not make a bold statement such as this –

‘Please marry me. I think you are utterly wonderful and I really want to have your babies! Just think; we can sit and order our nursery supplies on the internet together!!’

it usually means I am screwed…

My Inappropriate Conversation

In general, most people would not describe my conversations as ‘riveting’. In actual fact, on-one ever has. Personally I think this is totally unfair, but there is not much I can do about it so there you go…

Consequently, whenever I go out on a date (this has only happened twice up to now, but I always remain hopeful…) I will end up boring the pants off my potential partner within a very short space of time. I simply do not understand this myself because black hat SEO tactics are absolutely fascinating…

My Rubbish Dress Sense

My Crap Car

Okay, so I know you can’t land yourself with a total stunner just because of the car that you drive… but it certainly helps. So, bearing this in mind, you can imagine where my beaten-up old Volkswagen gets me!
